The colony here is quite extensive covering an area of about 60m x 30m. It grows amongst Eucalypts, tea tree, other small trees, tussock grasses and in open areas. on a north-facing slope.
The number of plants is too numerous to count, with the plant densities across the colony varying from 2 or 3 plants per sq m to a carpet with no bare ground showing.
