Asci 8-spored bitunicate, 95-105 x 5-8 µm, walls 2 µm thick. Pseudoparaphyses 1-2 µm thick, hyaline, septate, with nodular branching tips. Ascospores phragmosporous, 3-septate, pigmented yellow-brown, 15-17 x 4-5 μm.

Ascomata uniloculate perithecia with short neck (30 µm tall); spherical, erumpent, partially immersed, 100–300 µm diameter.
Asci 8-spored, bitunicate, 50 x 15 µm, IKI-; walls 4–6 µm thick. Pseudoparaphyses abundant, septate, 2 µm wide with clavate end 3 µm wide.
Ascospores hyaline, 16–20 x 5–6 µm, mostly 4-septate; centrally constricted, one half with two chambers and rounded end, other half larger with three chambers and acute end.
