Description

Found on dirt road next to highway Near Lone Peak High school in Big Sky. Appeared to have been hit by vehicle. Pic location shows location where Bird was taken to meet with Big Sky Bird Rescue.
Turned over to Montana Raptor Conservation center for possible rehabilitation and hopeful release. Has two broken wings. Included x-ray. Beak appeared almost metallic silver. Spotted chest, bright orange coloring above beak.

One individual was preserved as a pressed specimen Three other individuals had leaves preserved in silica. All four sampled individuals will be deposited at the NMSU Herbarium under the collection number Abair 400.
