Even though this young bird doesn't have a tail, it is flying and collecting nectar.

A family of Gang-Gang Cockatoos in a burnt Stringybark. The parents seemed to be searching in the burnt wood for food to feed the juvenile. Unfortunately not good photos due to them being on the other side of a gully near a dam.
