Back in 2006 I collected 10 of these larvae to rear out to see if they were O australis or not. This is one from the "lower stream" on this private property, where we have not found adults even though it has more larvae. This one emerged on 3/17 and this is 2 days later.

These come from a voucher collection of Odonate nymph specimens. Because of the way the collection was organized, I do not have precise dates or locations of collection beyond central VA from 2016-2018. However, I figured I would share these to help others in making their own IDs.
1'. S10 cylindrical but short.
3'. Abdomen not leaf-like.
Wing sheaths divergent.
5'. S10 shorter than S9.
6'. Coxae evenly spaced.- Cerci nearly as long as epiproct.
