Hundreds of plants in gravelly east facing steep hillside with multiple seeps which are more like springs. Only about half dozen currently in bloom.

Leaves all or mostly all basal, stems unbranched with Single flower head per stem

Marshy area. Strong sweet scent could smell 10+ ft away. Basal leaves and leaves up stem present. Lateral sepals spreading

Strong vanilla scent.

Upper and lower surface of leaves glabrous.

Some plants almost 2’ tall, the labellum has very distinct green veins in the throat

after closer inspection the plant was identified as P. grandifolia.

In a seep that stays wet year around. Colony of 5 plants 2 with blooms
