Description

Viburnum opulus var. opulus, V. opulus var. americanum or a hybrid of the two varieties? On the petioles, note the intermedidate features of the glands and grooves on the petioles--shallow (var. americanum) but mostly smooth (var. opulus) and of the stipules--both club shaped (var. americanum) and slightly tapered (in var. opulus they are tapered). And the underside of the pictured leaf is smooth (var. opulus) and not hairy (var. americanum). This is a small shrub (~0.5 m) growing on the edge of a marsh.

The sequence of the photos will be reordered later, and the location accuracy increased.
