Barea consignatella (Walker, 1864). F.L. 12 mm. Adventive. Common.
One of the larger 'micros'.
It is a common moth, inhabiting native forests and parks, from sea level to above 300 m. It is on the wing from October to March and is attracted to light.
Recorded from dead wood in urban areas (Hudson, 1928).
It is found in Australia and New Zealand (introduced/adventive).
