Stigmella cypracma (Meyrick, 1916). Endemic.

Adults have been recorded in February and September-November in native forest and other habitat where its rangiora foodplant is found.

Life history 5

Foodplant: rangiora, Brachyglottis repanda. Mine: narrow, not following a particular pattern, but strongly sinuous. Mine terminating in a blotch. Larva recorded May-October and December; about 4 mm long, pale green. Cocoon made of brown silk within the mine.
