Erechthias capnitis (Turner, 1918). F.L. 8.5 mm. Adventive. Common.

Self introduced resident from Norfolk Island.

Habitat, seasonality and behaviour ⁴

Adults can be found throughout the year, numbers peaking around April.

Life history ⁴

Larvae feed on dead plant tissue, usually above ground, from Norfolk Island. Cordyline australis (G.Forst.) Endl., Asparagaceae (Asparagus family). (PlantSynz).
