Description 4

Common, forms sheets of anemones by fission (splitting). Basically a coral without the coral skeleton.
Habitat
Rocky shore.

Column
Smooth, white to rose or pink, green, yellow, or purple. Up to 20mm high.

Oral disc
Up to 15mm diameter.

Tentacles
Numerous tentacles tipped with knobs. Tentacles vary in size, small ones nearer the centre, taller towards the outer edge of the oral disc.

Distribution
Throughout NZ.
