Distinguishing Characteristics
An endemic limpet of New Zealand, it is easily recognisable by the 11 distinct radial lines and the white dots between them which are very prominent in juveniles but fade more in adults

Size and distribution
Up to 54mm in size, it is found throughout New Zealand on rocks, usually around the mid to high tide mark. Very common around barnacles.
