Callochiton empleurus

Description 1

Medium size, 11.5 to 22mm long, 7 to 9mm wide. The skirt/girdle is covered by fine stretched scales. Plates from pink with lighter longitudinal marks along the crest through to dark red. Plates have raised sides and about 9 deep indents either side of the crest

Distribution 1

Has been found between 10 to 30m deep. Stewart Island, Auckland Islands, Campbell Islands.
