How to Photograph Hermit Crabs 2

There are 2 ways to photograph hermit crabs. The first one is where the animal is out of the shell and running around, as seen in the first photo.

The second way is to pick up the shell and turn it over, making sure to brace your hand so that it does not move as any movement will discourage the hermit crab to emerge, then wait for the animal to appear as the rest of the series of photos above show. It is best to keep the shell submerged in water, as they do not really come out if out of the water. Also, patience is required as it may take a bit of time for them to show themselves.
