Catamacta gavisana (Walker, 1863). F.L. 7 mm. Endemic. Common.

Habitat, seasonality and behaviour 7

It is an extremely variable species which is on the wing in native forest from September to April. It can be attracted to artificial light at forest edges and glades.

Life history 7

Larvae feed on the leaves of a wide variety of foodplants including members of families: Daisy, Ivy, Violet, Mistletoe, Coffee, Tawa etc.
