Platyptilia isodactylus (Zeller, 1852). Adventive.
Native forest edges and clearings; shrublands; waste ground and gardens. Adults are on the wing from January to March and are attracted to light.
The larvae feed in the stems of Senecio aquaticus.
It is native to central Europe, Mediterranean North Africa and southern Europe. It has also been recorded from China. It has been introduced into New Zealand and Australia as a biological control agent for ragwort.
