Pyrgotis arcuata (Philpott, 1915). Endemic. Scarce.

Habitat, seasonality and behaviour 5

Adults may be found from October to early May in native forest. They fly at night and come to light but seem to be a scarce insect.

Life history 5

The light green larvae feed in spinnings on foliage of kaikatea (Dacrydium cupressinum Sol. ex G.Forst). Pupation is in a cocoon amongst the foliage.
