Hierodoris tygris (Hoare, 2005). Endemic. Local & Uncommon.

Habitat, seasonality and behaviour 3

It is known from Titirangi and and a few other localities around west Auckland. The set example shown was collected from a forest clearing in the central Coromandel ranges in March, hence a range extension for this species.

Life history 3

It has been suggested by R. Hoare that the larvae are canopy feeders on rimu hence it being generally overlooked.
