Growing under Arctostaphylos bakeri in thick duff
Pileus umbonate with a "shingled", scaly texture, rusty orange on umbo becoming more beige and finally white on margin. Periodic splitting. Lamellae narrowly attached to free, rusty orange. Stipe equal, white to light orange, fibrous. Rusty orange cobweb-like cortina's visible on younger specimens
Smell and taste indistinct

Lovely pink coloration on stem and up through cap where stem attaches. No other mushrooms around like it. Mixed conifer duff.
