What do we have here?
Spontaneous trip to desert rd! Upon arrival, I soon found out that without a permit, there's nowhere to set up a light with National park on one stretch and the military on the other. Was hoping to get the light going in the tussock grass, I eventually found a spot that would keep me out of trouble and not in either of the areas mentioned above.
The habitat was a little odd , a mixture of bog and tussock.
However, between the moon phase and cold, there weren't many moths to light at all!
Back to Eura to set up a light trap and get some sleep. Hopefully, better luck in the trap.
Interesting asymmetry
Saw a few along the track.
