Turns out the second brood for the Sandy Bay NZ dotterel pair has three chicks all around 4 weeks old now. Fantastic news! Fingers crossed for them.

Chick now 5 weeks old. Given how busy the spit is over the summer holidays, it's an absolute miracle it's survived until now. All fingers and toes crossed for the next week!
