With Valeri Ponzo and Don Fraser, with many others (among them Katy NeSmith & Jim Cox, Sally & Dean Jue, Elliott Schunke, Sue Murphy, Rebecca Smith): a successful chase of the EPIC White Wagtail that was discovered this morning. (It was seen again in the morning of 28 Nov 2022, but then disappeared after 1000). The weather at the start was sunny and 73 degrees with a light breeze. We left at 1709 and began the long drive home.
Male of the ocularis subspecies native from the Eastern Palearctic to western Alaska.
A world lifer for Val and Don, and my second from Florida -- I saw Florida's first (of three) White Wagtail in Pasco County in Oct 2007.
