Starfish in the tide at 100 meters seaward side of the Aramoana Jetty...apologies for the blur...trying not to get my camera wet!
In the first photo it seemed to be eating some pink organism coating the rock, I will put it in a observation too.
Flat ribbons of pink/white seaweed washed up onto Coopers Beach, Cable Bay. Smooth one side, these little globlets on the other side.
Found in tide pools with Ulva lactuca
Found at mid-shore height on a rocky reef
??ID
Small clumps growing on a conglomerate reef in the intertidal zone. More moss-like in growth habit, but this would be inundated with every high tide.
