Deceivers (Genus Laccaria)

Observer

Description

This is the fruiting body of a mushroom. The round, circular cap is light brown in color on the top and the underside was a darker shade of brown. The stem of the mushroom was skinny and striated. The spacing of the gills of the mushroom was not very wide but they were deep. There were a few of these mushrooms together on a lawn in a park environment and they were all quite small. I am not certain which specific kind of mushroom this is, but it is a mushroom.
