Description

Pruned off this rat-chewed fruit from the kiekie set near the Cornwall Park Info Centre for some dissection purposes. I've been trying to figure out what the seeds look like. Are they simply those 00's of little brown flecks inside. The specimen(s) at CWP all seem to be female so I'm supposing these are all sterile seeds (if that's what they are).
The specimen-set overall is more in flowering mode than fruit setting or development mode.

Description

Caught my eye because of the spiral arrangements of the foliage on the tips of the branches. Reminds me of Brachyglottis compacta, but doesn't have the same frills on the edge of the leaves. Looks darker and less rounded than Brachyglottis greyii. Hard to get a sample (hanging over a cliff for this one) and hard to take photos due to the conditions.
No flowers unfortunately. Not growing on the tops, only on steep faces - probably palatable to deer and stock.
Not far from the Rocky Hills Taipos

Description

A great find by the Wellington Botanical Society. Well south of its recorded distribution. Six patches of about 20 plants. Pronounced creeping rhizome.

Distant from gardens, so presumably an indigenous population rather than escapes.
