Most days Cedar Waxwings start arriving in the backyard around an hour to an hour and a half prior to sunset. On this day I went out later than usual to try and document every one that I could. There is always some movement and new arrivals and they were in various trees around the yard (although the majority staged in my pecan tree) so it was hard to get an exact count. I would estimate there were at least 30+ eventually. They appeared to all dive into a Leland Cypress for overnight roosting.
