When it was picked up, partial veil fell from the stem. Stem is hollow, around 9cm long. Base of the stem is slightly bulbous. Cap with fine scales. Spore print is violet-mauve-pink.
Diameter of cap 90mm. Cap has “specks” in concentric order. Gills are free or notched. Stipe is 110-150mm long, fibrous. Base of the stem is a foot-shaped.
Cantharellus species found under Chestnut trees.
