Description

Both alates are <1 mm in length. Three male alates die within 1 day after showing on grassland. In a clear morning after rains of days, 20+ alates are waving wings on the moss. Only one female alate (queen) continue to live in soils.

Description

Noticed him while at track practice. Ants are one of the most disregarded species for me so I thought it was cool I was able to take a picture of one of them. Noticed that they have a yellowish tent on one of the segments of their body. And while looking closely, I noticed a few hairs on their bodies as well.
