This is my first Long-nosed snake in Idaho! I have been herping and keeping reptiles since the 1980s, and breeding them since the late 1990s. I am quite confident in my ability to identify most species of squamate reptile in the American West. This is unmistakably Rhinocheilus. I don’t know much about iNaturalist yet, though, sorry not sorry!
Found this little Long Nosed snake in September 2003 about 1.7 miles SW of Adrian Oregon.
Found in Hügelkultur garden
Found along the eastern shore of Potholes Reservoir.
I believe this to be a wandering garter snake.
Found this horny toad(?) on the ridge overlooking Prineville Reservoir from the south.
Full credit for this record goes to biologist Lowell Diller (now deceased), who found this road-killed specimen and provided me with photo-vouchers.
First desert night snake found in Wenatchee WA.
