Description

Prevalent spreading shrub. Plants observed had a maximum height of 3m. Numerous small leaves up to 12mm long and 3mm wide. Leave upper surfaces dark green while under surfaces have a yellow-brown covering of felted hairs. White flower heads in tight clusters of 10-20 heads at the tips of the branchlets.

Description

Small low growing shrub that has prostrate branches that form matted patches and root into the ground. Leaves are 5-10mm long and 4-8mm wide. Fruits vary in colour from white to pink or red.

Description

Celmisia spectabilis (family: Asteraceae). A large genus almost confined to NZ. It is a herb with a basal rosette of leaves. Have a compound flower head, inflorescence, alternate leaves arrangement. Sympetalous petal connection and stipule is abscent.

Phormium cookianum ( Family: Xanthorrhoeaceae). Leaves are numerous, arising from fan-like bases. Flowers tubular, dull pink or yellow colour. Woody dark red-green peduncle, glabrous, leaves alternate and margins frilled or twisted.
