Melicytus
Observation made on behalf of Alf Webb who found this plant while engaged on weed control operations on Goat Island in the Otago Harbour. Plant photographed from specimen collected by @webb from Goat Island. This is not Melicytus alpinus and appears to correspond to similar plants on the Otago Peninsula that belong to an undescribed Melicytus species.

Stems lying on the ground frequently rooting in the damp leaf litter on the forest floor.
Flowers a more intense pink than Passiflora tripartita var azuayensis , which is widespread on the Otago Peninsula.
Oval fruits that remain yellow when ripe, and do not turn orange.
Leaves with toothed margin and hairy underside.
Could the more frequent layering and differences in flower and fruit colour indicate a different variety?
