Edible native passionfruit

"Maypops", or Passiflora incarnata, is a temperate representative of the passionfruit genus that produced an edible, yellow-colored berry whose pulp tastes tangy and tropical. Maypops grow in drier, disturbed sites with plenty of sunshine.

Description

Growing along sunny and well-drained area along the dam of Greenbelt Lake, a manmade reservoir. It was growing just beyond the mow line along a crushed gravel pathway that runs on top of the dam.
