Journal Post 4 - Broom Moss

Date: 3/16
Time: 4:15 - 5:20pm
Weather: Sunny, cool

Going through the forest, steering away a bit from the lake are the bigger trees. Coming up on one tree, its base is lined with moss. As not much sunlight gets through to the bottom, there aren't many other species of plants observable, besides its own leaves that grow by the bark. The coarseness of these moss tufts is a prime characteristic of it being identified as broom moss.
