Yesterday's walk started a habit

I've been walking our dogs in Windsor's Paradise Park for 25 years (different dogs over time). But walking with iNaturalist made it more interesting because I had a goal this time. It was fun finding interesting species that I've known about for years and recording them here, especially the invasives. I also learned names for items I'd seen but not known and alternate names for old favorites (Sweet Birch aka Black Birch).

I plan to use this as a resource in Scouting, where I've been a leader for 10 years, to help me identify natural objects that I could never name. And I hope to spark an interest in the boys too!

Thanks to Nathaniel Sharp for sharing this new way of looking at the world in his presentation at Billings Farm, Woodstock, VT USA!
