Received and planted (@2’ apart)/24 starter plants obtained from Doug & Lisa Richardson of Carpinteria Ca., into the ground- on a 50’ ridge scarp (at point of repose) after a severe landslide of a 100’ + high ridge overlooking highway 101 regular watering early morning, late evening - ph appropriate fertilizer - local product “SeaCrop”- (winter-Feb/Mar 2017) fertilizer/compost/mulch/yearly-late September - trimmed back to 2’ the first two autumns/no trimming since September 2017 - still growing!! These plants originated from Sunshine, Louisiana, thence to Pomona, CA, thence to Carpenteria CA thence to South Bend WA. This cultivar is sterile. Marginal area |
