Description

Seedless plant- The Seedless vascular plant is green and covered in black spots which could indicate it has some sort of fungus or disease. The leaves of this plant all arise from the stem and are classified as the veitative root. The leaves have a long thin shape which allows them to absorb light easily as well as regulate the temperature of the plant. This plant does not have any visual reproductive organs because it is seedless and reproduces asexualy with spores. The plant is seedless because it does not appear to produce seeds or buds. The size of the plant is about 2 feet in diameter and about 4 inches tall. This fits in with the characteristics of a seedless plant because it has to be small in order to maintain water efficiently. This plant was discovered in the saltwater wetland habitat near the coast and around other saltwater plants such as mangroves.

Description

Kingdom: Plantae
Phylum: Embryophyta
A small, golden flower. The classification of this flower was difficult due to it being part of the sunflower family. The flower starts out as white fluffs, and then the fluffs fall and leave the gold flower. The tree that stemmed these flowers started from the ground and bloomed at the top. The height of the tree was around 1.5 meters tall. The flowers were clustered, and the leaves were wider in the middle with narrow tips. The leaves were also spaced.
Habitat: Twined with a palm tree and in sandy dirt.
Distribution: Southeast US

Description

This plant is about 2 feet tall with multiple vegetative roots coming from the stem. There appear to be multiple clusters of purple around the stem. On the top of the plant, there is a bud that looks like it's about to flower. This plant was found in a small section of the woods which is a couple of yards from the coastline(upland coastline). this plant fits into the seeded plant category because it produces berries which allows it to reproduce through seeds. It also has vascular tissue which is a characteristic of the type of plant. a possible reference for this plant can be located at https://www.wildflower.org/plants/result.php?id_plant=caam2
