Saw this smallish snake along a creek on my property a year ago and was puzzled by the bold striping that looked unlike any of the snakes native to the Ozarks, which I normally know well. Assuming it's a captive escapee. Don't know if the picture is good enough for ID (heavy crop), but this was the best matching species I could find.
