These were found on the beach obviously collected by someone before me, all were empty and they were thrown back into the forest to be used by other snails, during the trip I found 3 live ones and 6 empty shells in less than 30mins they seem to be very abundant, but I’m also slightly concerned about pig pressure as I know the area does have some wild pigs.

May have to trust my id for this one the photos are terrible but I am 100% confident in my id. I found it exceptionally strange that they haven’t emerged on the mainland at all (to my knowledge in Auckland) however they seem to be prolific on Waiheke. This means these ones may be genetically distinct?
