The plant can grow up to 3m in height.

Description

Small red fungi growing on forest floor beside track.

Cap up to 13mm diameter. Stem up to 25mm in length.
Gills and stem are orange/red colour.

Gills partially extend down the stem.

Underside photo too fuzzy to post.

Description

Growing on the south facing bank of the track.

This appears to be a Fruticose lichen and best guess is one of the Siphula species.

The stalks/stems were up to 60mm in length.

Poor light conditions on this day.

Description

The smaller cocoon was on a Strawberry Tree (Arbutus unedo) and the larger one on a dead Akeake (Dodonaea viscosa) that I was cutting down. Both were within 1m of each other.

Description

Needles seem to longer than those on a P. radiata and are in threes. Weeping branches. Bark is different from P. radiata.

A sad looking tree.

Probable sign of red needle cast but that is another observation.

This tree may have been planted many years ago but is now neglected and not cared for.

Description

Growing on a rock bank.

Don't think this is Dibaeis arcuata as the apothecia seem to be the wrong shape. These ones are round and flattish whereas those on D. arcuata seem to be spherical.
