In my yard, spotted with what looked like another insect skin and webb on a gate post.

Found a nest of these in the garden. Counted five. Was difficult to get a photo of the topside but it was definitely silver and very bright.

First time I’ve seen swallows here at the estuary. Difficult to get a photo but there were two flying from the wall bridge to the jetty back and forth.

Logging because I didn’t plant it! It appeared by our stream.

Saw a lot of these birds near a skate park and river walk in Cambridge. They look like sparrows but distinctively yellow. Had never seen before. I’ve gone with the app suggestion.

I think these may be a lorikeet? I’m not sure, couldn’t get close enough but I wanted to log it. Saw them near Wainui bush park reserve

Came across this beautiful pair in a paddock that allows beach access near Wainui bush park reserve.

My partner took me out to a spot where he had counted 15 spoonbills in a tree last week, sadly they weren’t there but there were some on rocks nearby. This was around 7.55am.
