Description

Hi,
I have found a dead bird in the wood. Its in the near of a pathway. There are many people walking or jogging around with theyr dogs. The wood in in the near of a city, so also cats can be often seen in the wood.
The bird is a Turdus merula (https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/12716). So this species is evidentely presented in this wood.
I have documented, as far as possible, the after life of this bird.
In the process of decomposting, different animals were involved.
I have observed some of them and want to share my observations with you.
To do so i have created a set of observations which come as individual observations of different species, involved in the decomposting process of this of bird.
Understand it as some kind of forensic research.

The whole set you can reach with the folowing search-link:
https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?verifiable=any&place_id=any&field:Similar%20observation%20set=30439664

To link the whole set into a project you can use the folowing link as the starting point:
https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/30439664

The decomposting did involve the following species:

Turdus merula, the victim.
https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/30439664

Diptera, the first responders.
https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/30439649

Nicrophorus vespilloides, they did the hard work.
https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/30560286

Philonthus, they got the rest.
https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/30631729

Bacteria is cleaning the scene.
https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/30893779

Some observations have additional comments in german, may i will translate them later.
