Description

In riverbed of Ruamahanga River at Mt Bruce. Small shrub up to 20cm with numerous white flowers on one stalk. 4 or 5? Petals, purple ring near green Centre. Leaves opposite, flower stalk arising in axil of leaf.

Description

Stem round, diameter 3mm, another sample has a purple stem. Pink? flower, silique is 80mm x 1.5mm. Seed tufted, <1mm, leaves 60mm x 8mm. leaf margin is "bluntly toothed" - see diagram. Whole plant is glabrous.

Ruahine Range. Track from Oroua River roadened to Cumberfield Creek.

Looks like Teloschistes but wrong colour, is K- and apothecia are orange or pink,

Fruticose key:

21 Photobiont green 25
25 flattened thallus 40
40 no ventral or dorsal colour change 42
