Shrub caught my eye as the growth habit was so different from anything around it. The second photo is not the best but it does show the habit.
Sending a sample to the herbarium.

Description

I missed it on the way up the valley but stumbled over it on the way down. Only saw two, whereas the last time I was here there were lots of them. Not sure what has changed, maybe the riverbed has become more overgrown with grasses.
