Definitely 8, possibly 9 Orca - 2 large, 3-4 medium size and 3 smaller. Paddled with them for at least 40 minutes. A pod of 4 (2 medium and 2 small) towards the Church Bay side along the Rapaki side of Quail island. They turned and headed back towards Church Bay. Across the harbour towards Rapaki and Maori Gardens the 2 big, 1-2 med and 2 small moved along the town side of the harbour heading towards the harbour heads.
