Appeared naturally in nature on a cabbage tree stump in the back yard after a friend grew this observation in his shed. No rain just humidity increased caused it to fruit.

Description

Will update when the hyphae grows, this one strangely resembled Pleurotus ostreatus it did not have the smell of the usual P. pulmonarius. Will grow it out and find out. Cabbage tree. The feature photo was about 200 mm wide. Was able to extract a nice alive dry bunch.

Description

The best Christmas present comes from nature. Found in relations bush after lunch. Has the grey short stalked primordia of Pleurotus parsonsiae that no other Pleurotus has. P. pulmonarius has a fawn colour and at this stage has a longer stalk. As you can see from adult mushroom P. parsonsiae almost always has not stalk as P. pulmonarius grows away from the log and has one.

Check out the video:
https://youtu.be/HTN0ahXlhjs

This is the first time I have seen Pleurotus parsonsiae growing on the ground on a log.
