Description

I suppose this is the droppings of a mouse or a weta, looks similar to /observations/25371281 but can't see any pin mold type fibres coming from it.

Description

Can't decide whether this is Dibaeis arcuata, or Baeomyces heteromorphus. The apothecia are minute, but look like 'young' D. arcuata match stick like fruiting bodies. But the thallus granularity looks like B. heteromorphus and in many places the colour looks right for that. There is some grey or blue/grey colouring there too. A possibility that occurs to me is that we have D. arcuata growing over top of B. heteromorphus thallus.

Description

At least a couple of dozen rabbits just in a small area (only about 4 visible in the shots of the burrows)

All the species that I can see in these photos are introduced - a highly modified wasteland (rabbits, gorse, barberry, various grasses, ragwort)

Description

This observation is just for the patch in the left half of photos 3,4,5.

These apothecia are tiny, barely visible as anything other than dots with the naked eye, the red B. heteromorphus apohecia to the right is a more normal size.

The second to last photo is under natural lighting and shows the thallus colour difference from the adjacent B. heteromorphus better.

The scale in the last photo has 1mm divisions.

Description

This observation is for the lichen on the right side of photos 3,4,5,6.

This patch consists of a couple of adjacent areas which both seem to be variations of Baeomyces heteromorphus, but there is a distinct border between them. The second to last photo, under natural light, shows the thallus colour difference well. Maybe the lefthand half is D. absoluta, I will post it as a separate observation.

Description

Very tiny apothecia, some not much bigger than the green balls of thallus (soredia?).
