I'm an Ontarian birder who's also really into moths, odes, and other cool things. I completed my MSc at the University of Alberta where I examined the migration phenology of boreal songbirds through bioacoustics. During my undergraduate research at the University of Windsor I explored both the influence of artificial light on nocturnal flight call activity and song learning in Savannah Sparrows. I employ a largely acoustic monitoring approach so I'm very into birdsong etc.

Previously I was a bird researcher at Pinery Provincial Park working with Red-headed Woodpecker and Eastern Whip-poor-will - both are Species at Risk in Ontario.

Currently, I am an Assistant Conservation Biologist for a land trust operating in the Bruce Peninsula and the Manitoulin Island Archipelago.
