I am a wildlife researcher/ecologist with interests in cross-taxa understanding of biodiversity, ecology and conservation. I conduct cross-taxa research, biodiversity monitoring, ecological landscape restoration and management in various sites across India. I combine this with community awareness and education on biodiversity.

All photos here are taken during such endeavours of research, documentation and education in various parts of India ranging from the ecologically sensitive landscapes such as the Western Ghats to the least appreciated scapes in the urban; from parts of Jammu in the North to Kanyakumari in the southern tip of India; from Gujarat in the West to North-eastern parts of India like the Meghalaya and Manipur.

In my spare time i try to id taxa from Tamil Nadu. Feel free to tag me for ID help for taxa groups specifically terrestrial. But I would suggest you first try to ID it yourself by looking using the location filter(your state or country) and broad taxa like reptile, amphibian, birds and so on and select species to look at potential contenders. I get a lot of tags and always lose some. If I dont ID yours feel free tag again after a week or two.

In an effort to raise baseline knowledge for Tamil Nadu I have been running some projects since 2016 with corresponding Facebook pages. Due to certain technical problems, the project pages on iNat had to be deleted. If you are from Tamil Nadu , do join these projects on both platforms. Details below.
