I work in far west-central Illinois as a field representative for the Illinois Nature Preserves Commission. I have about 30 years experience in plant community management, flora and fauna surveys of high quality natural areas. I have been doing butterfly/skipper surveys since 1998 and pollinator surveys 2018. My current focus is on anthophile insects (flower visitors), especially bees and true bugs (Heteroptera). I don't do a lot of identification for others yet as I'm focusing on obtaining my own reference photos for terrestrial inverts.
