I'm an aquatic microbial ecologist and Associate Professor of Biological Sciences at Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, KY. I study aquatic microbes in particular Algae! I enjoy all things freshwater, and I'm a specialist in one particular group of algae called diatoms. My academic background is a B.S. in Biological Sciences and Geology from NKU, a Masters in Botany from University of Oklahoma, and a Ph.D. in Microbiology at University of Oklahoma.
